Long time no post....
I am back in the swing of things. I am working on this year's race, a 5 miler! Don't forget to start training so you can join us Sunday, November 4 at Woodlawn! More information about registering will post within the week....
For now, I will leave you with this incredible story of a young woman who was born at a time when individuals with Down syndrome were not always valued and were often institutionalized. Susie was not institutionalized, she went home from the hospital with her parents. Susie did not speak for the first 9 years of her life and now she is a Global Messenger for Special Olympics. Her story is inspiring to say the least.
